an Argentina bank account

So I now have a bank account in Argentina with a French bank. I'm not really too trustworthy of banks in Argentina, due to their reputation as robbers. It happened in 2001 and 2002 when banks and the Argentine government basically stole people's savings here.

Aunt P. you're the best!!

So I got a notice to go down to correo central yesterday. Another mystery package. After passing through the Argentine mail bureaucracy, I received my package. And what to my wondering eyes did appear, but CEREAL, CEREAL in a care package from Carolyn!!! Carolyn, it's only Tuesday, but you clearly get the fuzzinargentina.blogspot.com MVP award for this week. I already had the golden grahams this morning, so good!! I really appreciate the thoughtfullness to send delicious breakfast cereal halfway around the world -- you're the best Aunt. P!!

fish, it's what's for dinner

As part of my 2007 intentions, I'm trying to eat more fish in this country of cow, along with more fruits and vegetables. Tonight, I cooked and ate some elephant fish, a fish found in Patagonian waters of Argentina. It was good, has a taste somewhat between bass and flounder. It does, I admit, look kind of funny.

peanut butter measures

So peanut butter is not that common here in Argentina. In fact, it´s hard to find, only a few places carry it. Ironic it is that Argentina is one of the world´s largest exporters of peanuts. Well, I took matters into my own hands and made my own homemade peanut butter. So I can now successfully have PB and Js whenever. Here´s a picture of what I made:

the boy is back in town

I'm back in BA! Had a really great, beautiful, amazing trip to Chile and the south of Argentina, I will be getting more pictures and video together in the coming days, email me if you want to see the final work.
